Emeril over on the Fine Living channel (where all the good chef have gone for
the most part) is a different critter than the mug we see on Emeril Live! I
miss some of now defunct shows from the early daze of the Food Network ... like
Two Hot Tamales, Cooking Live, In Food Today with David Rosengarten and Rudy
Guiliani's ex., Michelle Urvater's "Cooking - Monday to Friday" and Jack David
& Bobby Flay's "Grillin' and Chillin'" (the only show I ever enjoyed which
featured Flay - mostly because Jack David laid his arse in the weeds - most of
the time). Oh, yeah, Jacques Torres making his amazing chocolate creations.

Even the old How To Boil Water ... where Emeril got his start was pretty good.

Now we're left with Molto Mario ... from which I have learned a fair amount.
Good Eats with Alton Brown which gives good information underneath all the
schtick, and Giada deLaurentiis. I'd love to see them reprise the Two Fat
Ladies series ... one of my favourite TVFN shows.

Anyway TVFN doesn't (and didn't) have a monopoly on good cooking shows ... like
Biba Gaggiano, Urban Peasant, Caprial Pence, Justin Wilson, Michael Lomonaco
(now that he's moved on from TVFN), etc.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Spaghetti w/Fresh Clams
 Categories: Pasta, Shellfish, Chilies, Wine
      Yield: 4

  1 1/2    Dozen littleneck clams;
           - scrubbed well
    1/3 c  Olive oil
      3 cl Garlic; minced
    1/2 c  Dry white wine
      1 c  Canned plum tomatoes;
           - drained, chopped
      1 ts Red pepper flakes
      2 tb Fine chopped parsley
    3/4 lb Spaghetti; cooked, drained

  In a large saucepan heat the olive oil add the garlic and
  cook 1 minute. Add the wine, tomatoes, clams and red pepper
  flakes and cook, covered, shaking the pan occasionally,
  for 5 minutes, or until the clams open. Add the parsley,
  stir once, and add the pasta.

  Toss to heat the pasta, then transfer to a warmed serving
  bowl.

  Serves: 4 servings
