But you don't get to crunch into the pickle if it's not there.

Don't order it in restaraunts, guide the amateur cook and take the food
shows with a grain or more (half the shaker?) of salt.  Easy enough
solutions to all 3 situations. (G)

I like it both ways but I think I make the tomato verson more often.

It would have been better with darker chocolate and a more pronounced
bacon taste instead of an almost but not quite bacon taste.

Saved, I'll have to give it a try.  Probably with the cast iron dutch
oven to hold in the heat/flavors.  I'll probably sub another cup of
stock for the beer instead of water.
