Try it sometime; you just might like it. Strips of stir fry meat in
a little mound, perhaps with some sort of steak sauce.

A good size for breakfast; kinda minimal for supper though.

     Title: STEAK WITH AVOCADO SALSA & OREGANO TOMATOES
Categories: Beef, Steak, Salsa
  Servings: 4

     2    Beef scotch fillet, 200g
     2    Potatoes- Desiree; sl thin
    16 sm Tomatoes- 4 on each truss
     2 tb Oregano leaves
     2 tb Olive oil
          AVOCADO SALSA:
     1    Avocado;peel/diced small
     1    Onions- red; diced fine
   1/2 c  Parsley leaves; chopped
   1/2    Lemons; juice of
     1 tb Olive oil

Brush each steak lightly with oil. Season with salt & pepper.
Preheat oven to 200^C. Place the potato slices on a baking tray
lined with baking paper. Season & drizzle with a little oil. Bake in
the oven 15 minutes or till brown & crispy on the edges. Place
tomatoes on a baking tray, sprinkle with oregano, season & drizzle
with the olive oil & bake for the last 3 minutes in the oven with
the potato.

Preheat either the char-grill or flat plate on the BBQ to hot before
adding the meat. Cook on one side till the first sigh of moisture
appears. Turn steaks once only. Test the steaks for degree of
doneness with tongs. Rare is soft, medium feels springy & well-done
is very firm.

Remove steaks from heat, loosely cover with foil & rest steaks for 2
minutes before serving. Serve the steaks with potatoes, tomatoes &
the salsa.

AVOCADO SALSA: Combine all the ingredients.
