I was thinking that they could have peeled the skin and fat off and tried
it out, if necessary.  I've never messed with duck wings; I'd be tempted to
make duck soup or Buffalo Duck Wings out of them.

In a word ... ick.  Ketchup and vinegar as BBQ sauce?  Just...ick.

And that puts the last nail in the coffin.  Boiled potatoes with ersatz bbq
duck wings?
