I think they do gall bladders by laproscopy these days, using cameras and robot
manipulators instead of the surgeon putting his hands and forearms inside your
body. The laproscopy makes for smaller scars and *much* quicker healing with
less danger of infection.

Since this is the day scheduled for your cutting - by the time you read this
you will know for sure.

Not much to be done about the tests except to keep your fingers crossed.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Terrapin in Cream
 Categories: Game, Dairy, Wine
      Yield: 8 servings
 
      6 lg Eggs; hard-boiled
      8 tb Butter
      2 c  Cream
    1/2 ts (ea) Salt & Pepper
    1/2 ts (ea) Allspice & Nutmeg
      2 c  Terrapin; cooked & picked
    1/2 c  Sherry

  To cook terrapins: Boil a few and pick them, cutting
  out the gall bladder, which is attached to the liver.
  Be sure not to break the gall sac. Reserve the eggs,
  and put all to stew with 1/2 pint of claret, and
  rather more Madeira, until done.
  
  Force egg yolks through a sieve, then cream then with
  butter. Scald cream over hot water, add seasonings,
  and beat in egg yolk and butter mixture. Add terrapin
  and sherry, and heat thoroughly.
