He was ordained back in 1979 by our independent Baptist church down in
Swansboro.  He may ask for a Southern Baptist endorsement to the
ordination but doesn't need to be re-ordained.  Ordination is not
contingent on going thru seminary in most Baptist groups.  Usually if a
church recognises your call, they will license you to develop your
preaching ability.  At some time in the future, that church (or another
one if you've moved on and the new church recognises the license), you
will be ordained.  It's not automatic; you have to prove yourself worthy
of ordination.  BTW, the only major difference, at least here in NC, is
that a licensed but not ordained pastor can't perform weddings or
funerals. I know, different from what your grandfather went thru but,
different denomination.  Clear?

We've done that too.  Tonight we had to pick up a projector at our
church (about 20 minutes away), got there about 5:30.  After Steve got
it loaded into the car, we decided to try Z Pizza; they opened one up a
short way from the church.  Went over & got their American (minus the
sausage) on a whole wheat crust.  Not bad, I do a better one but we
would go back again.  Only downsides are that the eat in area is really
small & they serve pepsi instead of Coke.  We got home before the snow
started, some time between 7 & 7:30.

Can't say as I'd blame her. I'd probably be blowing my stack too.
Hopefully Anne can get it all worked out and have her appointment on
Tuesday.
