I'm not so trusting of my massive skills as that. If I were,
I'd be married to Jackie or Raquel Welch by now.

The CCU was so comfy that if they'd put me there to begin
with, I'd be camping out there still.

I've been having some bruising, massive nosebleeds, and
the dry winter skin has been fracturing and spewing
blood droplets about. I almost called the doc to complain,
but it probably wouldn't do any good. Last time, they said,
oh, just stick with it 4 more weeks, the protocol says you
have to. People beg me to do what the docs say, but if I
literally did, I'd probably die right off. I'm supposed to
be on Plavix AND aspy, which is totally lunatic.

Indeed. 4 pork meals out of the last 5, and the other was
a burger.

Pork stir-fry with carrots
Bacon and eggs
Bak kut teh (low-salt version)
Pork skin fried in its own fat

Of course not. I don't like plain spaghetti, and
it's off my diet anyway (I am allowed 2 oz of al
dente pasta if balanced with real food).

Now this I could do (with pills) -

Mushrooms in cream
cat: side, echo
servings: 4

1 tb duck fat
salt and pepper
1/4 c shallots, minced to the finest
1/4 c onions, very finely minced
1 c button mushrooms, sliced to the finest
spices to taste
- (was very small quantities oregano, sage, thyme, cinamon)
2 fl red wine
3 fl heavy cream

melt the fat, add s&p, sweat shallots and onions in fat, sauté
mushrooms over high heat then decrease to low and gently simmer until
all water has gone, put the fire on medium, add spices and let them
cook a few seconds, deglaze with wine, wait until wine is almost
evaporated, add cream, let excess water evaporate to a thick
consistancy; toss in pasta cooked al dente, serve with minute-cooked
aiguillettes de canard.
