I have to figure out ways around the heavy stuff. Generally, for mixing

He peeled a mean potato and quartered a mean apple, but that was about all.

Oh well.  A friend of my mom's taught her husband to cook after they both
retired.  She said it was because she didn't want him to marry the first
good cook he ran across if she predeceased him.  He got to be pretty good,
but died a year or so before she did.  The training wasn't for naught
though; it never hurts to know how to cook!

Not enough, in other words.  Then again they used to come with almost all
of the meals, so a soldier could save a few from the ones that didn't need

Dogs, birds, frogs, horses, sheep, goats...?  My dad was like that; animals
had him figured for an easy mark.  They were right.

Tofu, orange juice, and a crust made of wheat bran.  UCK.  Mixing ricotta
and finely mashed tofu works well enough.

Me too.  Half the time all I need to do is look at the sodium content. 
This she says after devouring some microwave popcorn....  Of course, it's
Superbowl Sunday so junk food is a requirement.  I even ate Doritos!
