Hopefully he will see this; if not, I'll make sure he does.  This sounds
like it might be a reasonable alternative for travel, especially if I go
visit the kids for an extended time.  That way I could keep up with Fido
and e-mail.

If I do go for the new baby's birth, I'll do somewhat of what I did when
Robert was born--stock their freezer.  He was born 2 days after
Thanksgiving, which we celebrated at my sister's, and she gave us the
turkey carcass.  I cooked it down, then used the stock to make soup as
part of the stock up. The new baby is due in early October; I guess we
could celebrate the Canadian Thanksgiving and get a turkey. (G)

Don't see why not; it would just mean a bit more "babysitting" (stirring
