Yep and I'm trying.  I actually found that I like almond milk better than cow's
milk.  It's got a rich taste to it and seems to be within the guidelines of
what I can eat.

I made an improv dinner last night.  Not the healthiest thing in the world, but
here's what I did:

Got out a 12x9 glass pan and lined the bottom with crumbled Doritos.  Got out a
big saucepan and browned a pound and a half of turkey burger.  Tossed in a can
of cream of mushroom soup, a can of cream of chicken soup, a can of mild
enchilada sauce, a cup of almond milk and a bag of "Spanish mix" veggies (black
beans, corn, red and green chilies).  Got the mixture until it was hot then
immediately poured it into the pan.  Topped all of it with sharp cheddar cheese
then threw it into the oven for 40 minutes at 350F.

It came out smelling delicious and after a 10 minute cooling time, we dug in.
My experiment was declared a success by my wife and myself, so while the meal
was definitely not in the "good for you" range with the rather high-ish salt
content, it was definitely in the "good-tasting" range!

It was a result of wanting something tasty without going out to eat (which the
going out is something I have to cut out due to my health and my budget :).

I guess after all the years I've spent in here and watching cooking shows, I've
finally started getting the impulse to experiment in the kitchen and make my
own recipes.
