I'm going to request (and had better get) a GI consult.  I am still having
twinges of pain here and there and everywhere...and things still aren't /quite/
as they should be.  Then again, I have to trust my health care to an
organization that thought I had VD when I actually had food poisoning...

Well, with being one of the younger people in here, I know I can count on
other's experiences (and no, that's not meant to be snide :).

I'm about 95% sure those symptoms are caused by a particular medication I'm
taking.  However, since my "primary care practitioner" likes to just shove
pills in my face to get me out of her office, I'm going to have to raise holy
hell to get anything done which is something I don't want to do, but the health
care standards at this particular VA hospital have gone down the toilet.  It's
worse here than Atlanta, surprisingly enough, so there has been thought of
moving back down there after my wife gets her schooling completed, but that's
several years down the road.

Stress irritates my health to no end, especially since I can't find work.  It's
been real hell up here trying to find work-much worse than it's been before and
this is the longest I've got involuntarily without a job in my adult life.  I
think once I can get that, a lot of my irritation will disappear and I'll be a
bit calmer.

Oh well, what can you do. <G>

Since it's a cold (snow's blowing around outside) and dreary day, this sounds
quite good:

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Ham and Chicken Chowder
 Categories: Crockpot, Soups, Chicken, Potatoes
      Yield: 4 Servings

      6 c  Chicken stock
      2 c  Cooked ham; diced
      2 c  Potatoes; cubed
      8 sm Onions
      1 c  Corn
      1 c  Cut green beans
      1 c  Lima beans
      1 c  Canned tomatoes
      2    Stalks celery w/leaves; chop
      1 tb Parsley; minced
      1 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Pepper
      1    Bay leaf

  Combine all ingredients in crockpot.  Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8
  hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. Serve in heated soup bowls
  garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
