I also saved memos. When I worked for state gummint there were a lot of (often
contradictory) memos. And some that were quite clear and specific. I saved them
all and used them selectively to do pretty much as I pleased to get my job
done. The ones that were clear and specific saved my butt more than once.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Hot Bacon-Cheddar Dip
 Categories: Breads, Cheese, Pork, Dips, Appetisers
      Yield: 9 servings

      2 lb Round loaf crusty sourdough
           - bread
      8 oz Cream Cheese; softened
  1 1/2 c  Sour Cream
      2 c  Cheddar Cheese; shredded
  1 1/2 ts Worcestershire sauce
      1 c  Bacon bits; from 3/4 lb 
           - bacon, fried crisp
    1/2 c  Green onion; chopped


  This is a recipe I got from my Cuz'n Carol. Not only is she
  an extremely talented and artistic photographer, she knows
  good food. Check it out. This appetizer is great for any
  occasion and it looks all purdy too.

  Soften 8 ounces cream cheese and put in mixing bowl. Add
  sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese. Next, add the
  Worcestershire sauce. Now put in the cooked bacon bits and
  chopped green onion.

  Mix on low to medium speed.

  Slice top off of bread, carefully. Hollow out the round
  loaf, using your fingers, to make a bowl. Reserve removed
  bread and top if loaf for dipping.

  Fill the bread bowl with the cheese/bacon/onion mixture.
  Wrap in foil and bake at 350øF for one hour.

  Serve warm with crackers and reserved bread.
