We've used lots of book boxes for packing over the years. A lot of our
weight is in books (Steve got a couple of dozen more at a conference
earlier this week, most of them free.)  Besides theology books (lots
more of those to come), we have enough cook books for a couple of boxes,
sewing/crafting/quilting/etc for several, computer for a good number and
a lot of "general" books.

She doesn't use much beyond salt & pepper (and very little of the
latter) these days so most were just space wasters.

I can't put in extras; Dad is a boringly bland eater & Mom cooks the
same way.  Any "exotic" ones I brought up would not be used.  I did see
she'd switched to real vanilla (tho a very low quality) instead of the
really cheap artificial stuff she used when I lived at home.
