My aunt hit one on the Thruway years ago.  She wasn't hurt but I
remember the windshield was really damaged.  This was when I was a kid
and they weren't made out of the safer glass that's used now.  My
younger brother works somewhat south of Newburgh but hasn't hit any deer
yet.  My folks hit a bear once; they'd borrowed my brother's truck so
the bear had more damage than the truck.

I thought of another cat my parents had (for a short time) this morning.
Probably not the only one I've forgotten over the years.  The last 35
years or so they've been able to keep cats for a decent time so they've
not had as many as they did when I was a kid. Makes it easier to
remember names of the later ones.

Munch, munch, munch.  Have you seen the ad for an exterminating company
where the termite family is all munching on parts of a wall?  They are
laughing over the fact that this family doesn't have this comapny. Then
the camera cuts to the (human) family dining room and Mom asks "did you
just hear something?"
