Sounds like it was a rather nice place.  One of these days I might get a
kitchen/pantry like that but I'm not going to hold my breath in the mean
time. (G)

Don't have enough counter space underneath to do any kind of work or
keep things like my tool crocks, mixer, etc if I do.

Exactly!  Got that book, then my new "Love of Quilting" magazine came
with a section on scrap quilts.  Decisions, decisions. (G)
