Part of it depends on where you are.  I can't see spending that kind of

Max was a runt - he topped out at about ten pounds.  He had the tufted
feet, but they weren't any bigger than an average cat's.

Passive aggressive behavior in a cat?  To quote Burt, now that's funny!

Maybe it's a shepherd thing?  Or it could be a big outdoor working dog
thing.  Huskies would probably love it when they "blow coat".

They're talkative.

We put some on the scratching post sometimes.  They both go crazy for it. 
It's hysterical watching Thelma the Fat Cat rolling around in it.
