Ok! I'll be looking!

No, I think they swapped brands. I didnt know that was a problem although I
have heard that a pet raised on just one type, can get baulky at a shift. If
they are used to shifting, my cat experience is they actually kinda like the
shift and get bored with the same brand too often.

Dogs mind this? I did not know. I swaped to Eukanba (something like that)
as what seemed reasonable priced and reasonable quality.

Seems ok as far as you know?

I mix a pedigree brand 13oz wet, 1/2 can each meal, with his dry kibble. When
I dont, I use a bit of stock and now (vet said olive oil just like you!) to
the dry. He looked over the dashi and said 1/4 cup is fine if he likes it.
It's far lower sodium than most of the folks insist on using for 'canned
broth'.

Oh, Cash got in early yesterday withthe vet. Don had to walk him up (about 2
miles each way but nice weather).

Per vet, we and all others who have met him are right. He is slightly
underweight. Not hugely. He had not yet 'cleard out his breakfast' when
weighted and came in at 34 lbs. Vet says about 3 more slowly gained is
right. Also said, 1 cup (mixed like we are) and 1 cup at night (also mixed)
and 6 'treat doggies biscuits' (vice our 3 broke in half) is right. Tiny
nibbles of other things are fine of low-salt or small bits of cheese.

Also vet figured out left distal leg is *faintly* shorter and almost sure to
be genetic which was one query (may not have posted here) trainer had to have
his hips checked. Nothing wrong. Ttainer and hubby both right though, that
wierd rib was probably broken and not set right and one other seems to have
set outwards. Neither rib causes him any apparent problems or pain. As his
fat fills in, you wont see the inwards one at all.

Will do! Now if work hours do not change!

I'm, hoping it thins down for his comfort. I'm told most of this type 'shed'
twice a year, and we are in the shed time pretty much soon.

Oh yeah! Try, 2 count it _2_ dogs in heat across the street? Life can be so
much *fun*! Did i mention yet he cant be neutered til May? He is about 3?
I'm actually pretty happy at how well behaved he is about it all ;-)

It's totally fun! They also set off the English Bulldogs. Lady here raises
a few for just regular level pet sort. Not show brands, nor show prices.
Just healthy happy ones. Not a long lived breed, but a rather nice one.
Anyways, they joined in then the shepards and the labs and lord knows what
else.

So off wanders Cash, nose in the AIR, instant celebrity <g>.

There is a hierarchy of barking! I didnt know that! Little yippy dogs dont
count. BIG BASS BAYYING OOWWWWOOOHHHHG!!! counts.

Got it yesterday. Thick as thieves they are now.

 > Oh for gawd's sake.. what jerks.. but we knew that already, huh...

Oh they got worse. I dumped the group tonight. Emailed the only sane person
there and just left. See, my neighbor has to pedigree english bulldogs and
she lets them breed once a year. This will be the 4th r 5th time (not sure
other than last time) then sells them for a minimal extra cash as pet level
puppies home raised inside her house (house trained, shots done, all that).
I mentioned this to 'Jenn' as a side that we have a 2nd dog in heat and it's
a paired set of the 'small but reputable sort' and they set their dogs on me!
I was suddenly responsible for every woe they had ever heard of, was esposing
all their worst nightmares, and was a moron because i should roll over on by
back in begging submission for forgiveness for having posted in their home
turf. (thats how they acted). I wished them well and told them if they
wanted more than 5 posts a day they needed newcommers and to not drive us all
off. I was the 4th I saw leave in a month, which is 80% of the newcommers.

Yup. Flamed me as I didnt 'take advice well'. Doc said, 2 cups a day for
this dog at least for now and no less.

What is so horrible, is they cal me a 'wannabe' for checking books and using
the vet! You I trust, you are sane. They are on some wierd twisted 'power
trip'.

One is a 'professional trainer'. Took me to task over english bulldogs and
how little I knew. Asked her if she had ever even seen one. She had not,
but took me to task for what I said when i have a mated pair across the
street which is the summer gather spot for ouyr neighborhood and the 4-5
other 'kids' of theirs are seen daily here so I have maybe 400 at *least*
times of sitting for an hour or more with 3-4 of them, and she want to tell me
I dont know anything about them? This the same fool who says web pages are
useless gained her secondary knowledge more useful than mine where?

Grr. Well, nuff said. We all gotta rant sometimes <g>

Oh it was better, Her idea was water puppy only at morning an night to
control peeing habits. When i objected that this was (wanted to say cruel
but was trying to be nice then) 'not normal nor nice' I got reminded 'how
little I know about dogs and i should shut up and learn'.

Embeded 'click'. Sadly they look like a help place til you ask for it.
There are 3 main people there who wreck it and you cant get past them. In
FIdonet, I would make the effort. In Usenet, it's not worth the effort to
try.

I wish Fido still had a pet echo. I'd me all over it just now.

Daisy as of yesterday, decided the top of the sofa is HERS so she can
distainfully look DOWN on Cash from 12 inches UP.

If Cash does not 'like it', he can leave the lower portion of the sofa than
you. <g> So far, Cash just rolls over and wiggles his tail then back over
and sniffs then snores.

Saw her use him as a stepping stool to get all the way down. I suspect he
knows his place <g>. Cats rule, dogs drool.
