Funny trying to get back to things you meant to sometimes .. boy do things get
busy here (bet it's the same at your place) :)

This is Grandma's recipe:

Don't ask me what name means or if it's even spelled anywhere near accurately
Lol.. All I know is the recipe Mom gave me (g).

Sorry if this got duped.. I had to give Eoin a message over here from his Mom,
and the BBS probably saved the msg. before I saved it :)

Pastry:
4 cups flour
1/2 cup confectionary flour
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
Mix ingredients well.  Set under the bowl for 1/2 hour. Roll out the dough very
fine. Make sheets of dough and form dumplings as for ravioli Fill with filling
below, and press the edges of each dumpling closed with the tines of a fork. 
Fry in Canoli oil.

Filling:
3 cans chick peas, drained and mashed 1 pound sweet chocolate, grated
Grated rind of 2 oranges
Juice of 1 orange
1 pound raisins
1 pound chopped nuts
1 tablespoon cocoa
2 tablespoons sugar
1 pound honey
Mix all ingredients well, adding more honey if needed.
