I've yet to go there to buy stuff but it will not be long! I wandered but Don
and I were on the rare 'night on the town' so skipped.  We didnt want to be
carting bags of groceries through the bar <g>.

Yup, thats it!  I am slowly gaining ground on the backlog but I figure if anyo
e wats to catch me right away, they will type to me.  I'm a little over 1
month backlog.
         

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Xxcarol's Lazy veggie soup
 Categories: Xxcarol, Crockpot, Soups
      Yield: 16 Servings
 
     28 oz Pastene Tomatoes (ground)
     15 oz Canned baby peas
     15 oz Canned corn
      5 c  Beef broth
    1/3 c  Dry brown basmati rice
    1/2 c  Straw mushrooms
      8 oz Pre-cooked pork loin, sliced
      2 ts Hot-sweet hungarian red pepr
      1 ts Basil
    1/2 ts Black pepper
 
  This is a lazy day soup concoction for when you have lots of cans and
  not much fresh stuff.  Using fresh will work too!
  
  Add all cans and the juice from the cans.  Can use chicken stock vice
  beef.  The meat is optional and a nice alternative is 2-3 precooked
  shrimp added in at seving time.  An alternative suggested seasoning
  from Ruth Haffly is sage in place of the basil.  Also the mushrooms
  can be other types, I just happened to have straw type handy.
  
  Feel free to add more seasoning!  This one can be quite hot if you
  like!
  
  Serving suggestions:  With fresh whole wheat bread used as a dunking
  bread in hearty chunks!
