I intended to answer your message simply because I was 
all caught up for the first time in ages.   I was 
poised to pounce om the first message that appeared.

However, your message to Sean about his C64 actually gave 
me a reason to Reply.   Because now I know why Dave The Sas 
is always chaffing me about the symbols I use for emphasis.  [g]

In your message a line showed up as:
   sh-> Please write me at  (at) {dot}  {dot}

When I opened "Reply"  the hidden words blossomed like Magic:

sh-> Please write me at <hafflys> (at) {dot} <earthlink> {dot} <net>

Additionally I wanted to comment that I think I have a C64
and an Amiga kicking around down in the cellar.  Not sure, 
it's been years since I saw them.

Is the word Recipe enough to constitute an Ontopicizer?
I hope so.  My recipe is not about food.  It's an
experiment that duplicates the way wet beach sand gets hard 
and dry for a few seconds when you run on it, or whack it 
with your hand.  [I only chose it because it has the word 
"Magic" in the Title]   [g]
 

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Magic Mud
 Categories: Kids
      Yield: 12 Servings
 
      5 tb Cornstarch
      3 tb Water
           Food coloring
           Measuring spoon
           Mug
           Spoon
 
  Spoon cornstarch into mug.  Add water and stir.  It should be
  difficult to stir, even when water and cornstarch are fully mixed.
  [Burt: it gets viscous]  
  
  Color your magic mud tan. Don't add too much food coloring or your mud
  will become runny. If this happens, add a little cornstarch until the
  mud feels like it did before adding the food coloring. 
  
  Then Squeeze a small quantity of magic mud between your fingers and roll     
  it into a ball or sausage.  What happens.

    [Burt: What happens is that the mix turns solid when you squeeze it.
    While you squeeze it, or roll it, or pound it, it seems like it has 
    no water in it.   This is a type of viscosity called Dilatant.  Same 
    as wet beach sand]
