Our younger daughter is in the city until Saturday, has been there since
last Saturday. She's taking a class for her National Guard training.
(She's on active duty with them in AZ, the Phoneix area.)  The longest
we lived any one place was in AZ; we don't even have a house to retire
to some day.

Is that the Gilbert Lake Camp Area you menitoned?  Our church used to
have picnics up there during the summer; I grew up in Margaretville so
it was about a 90 minute drive.

It's worth it for the milk. When we started, we were about a 15-20
minute drive away.  A move out of town added another 10 minutes or so to
it so we tried to combine trips with a bit of grocery shopping in town.
One night we'd done the shopping and were about to turn (right) out of
the parking lot to head home.  The fire siren went off so we turned left
(Steve was a voluteer) instead.  While waiting back at the station for
him, I had to change our younger daughter's diaper. We'd not planned to
be out so long so I'd not brought any clean ones (I used cloth) along.
Good thing I'd bought a roll of paper towels--a few of them made a good
improvised diaper for about half an hour until we got home. (G)  The
milk was't affected by the extra wait to get it into the fridge.
