I'm not a huge fan of beer either (prefer scotch) but I do like 
guinness, and the beers I do like tend to be the darker ones!

The lismore is quite nice, the glenmorangie is true nectar!
If I have a blend it's likely to be Ballentines, which I find
quite nice for a blend..as good as chivas, and way better
than any of the Johnny's! The Glenmorangie will more than
likely last me more than a year so the high price tag is 
more than compensated for in the time it takes me to 
enjoy it!  I think the popularity of high end bourbons 
(which I also like!) has impacted the price of good 
single malt Scotch's...and the bottle of Glenmorangie
18 was a good bargain at about $130!
