Does your Cultech bike have front and rear springing?  That, with a
well-sprung seat and fat tyres would ease impact stresses on your back.

That would keep you out of the Olympics, but I suppose that is not the

That was quite a load. You didn't carry all that on your bike, did you?
If you took the car I hope you had family assistance to carry it all.
That is what family is for.  Mother strides ahead through the
commissary, grabbing goodies, while daughter and/or husband follows
with the trolley.  After purchase, they load the car and unload at the
other end.   You tell them that you are under medical orders not to
carry anything.
