Nah, that would have had some spice. This was five bean
soup with burger meat in it.

No, it was close but not that close. Another few people
also rushed in on our heels, and then the big crash
came, and a security guard said to us all, "good timing."
If there were others still outside, they probably weren't
fried, as I didn't hear ambulances immediately: the
strike itself was quite nearby (with a flash to crash of
1/2 second or so) and in a fairly well traveled area,
so I guess people just got lucky. That perhaps was our
spice for the day.

Olive pasta
cat: main, side
servings: 5

2 Tb olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 oz cured olives, pitted, chopped coarse
3 ripe tomatoes, chopped
basil to taste
salt and pepper to taste
12 oz linguine
1 oz toasted pine nuts

Wilt garlic in oil over low heat. Add olives, tomatoes,
and basil. Correct seasoning. Cool to room temp.

Cook pasta according to package directions. Toss with
vegetable mixture. Divide among plates and top with
pine nuts. This could be served with Parmesan, but I
didn't.
