In general, yes. Our meat's provenance is a factory that
takes some unknown organic substance and encases it in
plastic wrap and styro trays.

           ANTOJITOS

The Europeans ie; French, Spain, and Portugal, who brought the beef,
pork and chicken meat, the cream of milk and the cheeses, and other
foods of their respective countries, liked very much the Mexican
original food such as the "tortillas" , beans, peppers, tomatoes, green
tomatoes and aromatic herbs such as "epazote", coriander (cilantro),and
the "hoja santa".  "Antojitos" merged from the union of all these
elements, having as its base the flour and the corn tortilla.  This
changed the "Original", Authentic", recipes for ever. "Antojitos" are
served at Mexican celebrations. all religious events, fairs and atriums
are invaded by "antojitos" selling spots, where the Mexicans eat at all
hours.

In Mexico appetizers are called antojitos, or whimsies. Tila Hidalgo
Leach, the owner of Tila's in Houston (1111 S. Shepherd), has drawn on
her childhood in Mexico City to create a trio of these savory starters.
The first two are classic street food-buttery roasted ears of corn and
cool strips of cucumber and jicama, all sprinkled with salt and red
chile powder. The third-hot-sweet quesadillas of melted Brie, pear, and
minced jalapeno sandwiched between flour tortillas-is an original
creation with continental roots. Offer them with margaritas and Mexican
beer to keep your guests in a lighthearted mood while you're putting the
finishing touches on dinner.
