We've collected a few that way--bought some snow boots at Dick's
Sporting Goods (in one of the Rochester malls) last fall. Didn't use it
again until a few weeks ago.

That's what we thought. We've found some nice little surprises at Fresh
Town, and despite what the locals think, their prices aren't really out
of line with what we pay for the most part. We pay more at stores like
Whole Foods but the FT prices are on par with Lowe's. I think the locals
were hoping for a Wal-Mart Super center type pricing and got reality.
There's no real competition in town, just convenience stores with even
higher prices. Nearest place with any sort of competition in grocery
stores is an hour away.

My folks buy a lot of their meats from a door to door distributer. Pre
portioned "seasoned" "stuff. My dad is not thrilled with it but it's
relatively easy for my mom to cook. Of course her cooking methods leave
a lot to be desired. (G)

We usually do but somehow that got over looked. Oh well, it gave Dale
and Michael a taste testing experience. We came back with a lot more
cooler type stuff than we'd started with as our friends in PA gave us
several pounds of cherries. Made cobbler, preserves, etc with them as
well as enjoying them fresh.
