I can count on 1/5 of the fingers of one hand how many times we've been
to Hardee's in the past couple of years. (G)

Not a frequenter of those either except as attached to a gas station
when we're traveling.

I know what you mean about the "drug" stores. They do sell alcohol &
tobacco products, a couple of relatively unregulated "drugs". Just like
the fabric stores have turned into fabric & craft stores, sometimes
heavier on the craft stuff than fabrics. Still, I don't go into drug
stores that often. During the school year, Steve picks up perscriptions
for me. Non school months we'll use drive thru or go in, depending on
time and other factors.

Thought you would appreciate the factoid. We don't buy it either. Got a
bottle of Tabasco when we first moved here before Steve could get some
of his hot sauce made. It's about 2/3 gone, using it a bit more until
another batch of hot sauce is made. When I made chili sauce a couple of
weeks ago, I used a mix of fresh, hot peppers instead of the wimpy half
teaspoon or so of Tabasco my mom's recipe called for. Gave it not only
more heat but a better rounded heat without being overly hot. We gave a
small jar to the lady we got the tomatoes and peppers (at the farmer's
market) from; she tried it on some Mexican food and really liked it.

Can't call it bbq sauce in this part of NC; that's the western
(Lexington is the bbq center of the western part of the state.) style.
Out here it's simpler and only red in it is the pepper flakes. (G)
