Non-artificially-colored soy sauces are brown and usually
barely translucentm not clear. What you had must have been
a sorry sauce.

I remember my first whole fresh durian, which was at the echo
picnic in 1995. Before that I'd had it only with sticky rice
or custard. I'd been offered it in its original glory before
but had chickened out.

Rather like my first Sauerbraten, which was made by my mother
and her twin sister, using gingersnaps im diese Weise.

That's where pleading senility or somesuch comes in.
You show up a month late and throw a terrifying or
terrified fit at the desk when they deny you admission.
I've heard that it works fairly well, with a better
ROI than buying a fresh ticket. They won't revalidate
your ticket, of course, but if there's space available,
they may let you fly for free.

The natives take great pride in Bell and Evans chickens,
here, and their attitude is not well justified.

Looketh to me as though someone is trying to approximate
the effect of a lot of Port with a little. In any event,
that's too much jelly - the taste would overpower.

Tropical Storm
cat: booze
servings: 1

2 parts light rum
1 part banana liqueur
4 parts orange juice
splash of pineapple juice
splash of grenadine
1 sliced banana

Blend, serve in exotic glass garnished with
cherry and orange slice.

M's note: you could substitute Port for the grenadine.
Doesn't matter if it's Tawny or Ruby - after all,
any Port in a Storm.
