The snow wasn't bad, the roads were a mess
but that's always the case as we have so 
few snowplows. The ice was the real capper!
Trees fell, limbs cracked off, power lines
came down..it was horrible! They had to close
Galloping Gertie because of the fear of
falling ice!!
 
-> Our roofs are engineered to handle that kind of snow load but in a
-> recent blizzard with 100 KM winds the roof was ripped off of the
-> Inuvik airport terminal.

I have one section of roof over what
used to be a garage that is flat,
it's a pain in the butt and if
I could figure a good way of 
changing it to some sort of a
pitched roof, I'd do it in a
heartbeat!
 
-> There are major blizzards to the north of me and record breaking cold
-> to the south of me but everything is pretty seasonal and normal
-> right here, for which I'm grateful.

As long as we have power, I'm happy 
to just stay in and let the nuts
go out and play on the roads..and
I usually have enough stores set
aside that I don't NEED to go out
in it!
