Let me tell you, the luggage on any flight to the US has been
screened and rescreened. Ever since Lockerbie. As of recently,
the only international gateway that did not comply was Lagos,
and big signs to that effect were posted in all airports with
flights there (in the US, only Houston and Washington, I think,
but also London, Frankfurt, and other European cities). Essentially,
we will guarantee that your flight there won't blow up, but we say
nothing for the return.

Have you seen that? They use similar but more powerful machines
on the way out.

The issue has been somewhat hushed up here; the power of Jobs
extends even beyond the grave.

Can you imagine them asking their cousins "do you use poisonous
pesticides in your farming, and what about laundering Chinese
vegetables through your cooperative's warehouses?"

As I've said, I find Al-Jazeera a good source, just as
I found the Christian Science Monitor fair, balanced,
and reliable in its day. If I wanted corporatist bias,
which I sometimes do, the Pink Paper is the best,
followed by the New York Times (stodgy and upper class,
not the leftist rag that Rupert's people try to portray
it as) and the Wall Street Journal (still above average
in its degraded condition).

      Title: Savoury Pumpkin Pasta
 Categories: Savoury, Vegetables, Squash, Pasta
      Yield: 4 servings

    120 g  Pkg Chicken & Mushroom Pasta
    420 g  Can Cream of Pumpkin Soup
      1 c  Boiling Water
    3/4 c  Cheese; grated
           Parsley; chopped

  Place chicken & mushroom pasta in an 18cm x 23cm casserole dish. Mix
  soup & boiling water together. Pour over pasta & combine. Scatter over
  grated cheese. Bake at 200C (400F) for 20 to 25 minutes or until pasta
  is cooked through. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
  Serves 4. Note: This recipe can be used with any combination of pasta
  combos & soups.
