The 270 metre Sky-Tower in Auckland has a glass balcony, and I noticed
most people avoided walking on that, although a notice assured them it
was quite safe.  My cold, analytical, engineer's mind (plus bravado in
front of my fair companion) dictated that I should stand on it and
look down, but I admit that it gave me a peculiar feeling.  While
there I noticed a body fall past the window, but that was only a Kiwi
bungey-jumper.  Kiwis do have that peculiar propensity of climbing up
to high places and then jumping off, usually with a rubber string,
parachute, glider or similar to give them a soft landing.

Some people have a compulsion to throw themselves off such places
without rubber strings, so most public viewing precipices have
barriers to make such acts very difficult.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Jumping Jacques Jalapeno Burgers
 Categories: Main dish, Grill, Groundmeat
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      1 lb Ground beef
      1 sm Onion; diced (4 tbsp.)
      1 tb Cream
      1    Garlic clove; crushed
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Pepper
      4 ts Salsa Picante
      4 ts Jalapeno Nacho Slices
           -- chopped
    1/2 c  Shredded cheddar cheese
 
  1. Mix beef, onion, cream, garlic, salt and pepper and form into 8
  thin patties.
  
  2. Top each of 4 patties with 1 tsp. Salsa Picante, 1 tsp. Jalapeno
  Nacho Slices and 2 tbsp. cheese.
  
  3. Top with remaining 4 patties, press edges to seal in toppings.
  
  4. Grill over medium coals for 12 minutes. Turn once after 7 minutes.
  
  Serve on your favorite bun. Spread with or dip in extra Salsa. This
  burger can stand alone or be eaten with lettuce and tomato.
