So do the ones in NC but there seems to be a pack of rogue ants that are
sent out one or two at a time to scurry across the counter tops.  Those
don't find their way back to the nest.  Steve did set a small thing of
the boric acid mix up there but they still show up.  Maybe once it
chills off for good this winter they will hole up and leave us alone for
a few months.

We used the scre top from a pill bottle for the one under the sink, not
sure what Steve put on the counter top.  Anyway, he mixed the acid,
honey and a bit of water in it with a toothpick.

Most likely, and since this house seems to have enough other problems, I
don't want to cause another one.

Steve had the original mix abit too thick; they were walking on it.
But, some probably stuck to their feet and got carried back to the nest
that way.
