From what I see, the biggest problem is that Wegmans wants to go for the
upscale market, with the huge stores filled with gourmet stuff.  They
don't see the North Country as meeting their expectations of that sort
of mega-store making it big.  If they put in a basic store, with the
other part of what makes Wegmans head-and-shoulders (I might even say,
from my biased point of view, the Real Part of), they'd have plenty of
volume... after all, people have to eat, and people up there appreciate
good food and quality and freshness as much as anyone.  Richard
suggested that Watertown would probably actually meet their criteria,
with many well-heeled people in the Thousand Islands region, and the
great influx of population around (and for) Fort Drum... but dunno if
they'd notice that...  That would almost be close enough for people
further north to come for a shopping trip... and be worth it...

Worst part of it... I KNOW I wrote down a list of various passwords, for
all the boards, including ones that had been rotated... just couldn't
find it when I was frantically trying to remember what I USED to use
there... ;)  And I like having reliable and current backup boards, one
never knows when it will be needed... :)
