Cheerios is one that we regularly clip when it is there.  Your 10%
figure might be even a little high.  Gail does the scanning and
clipping, but my guess would be that she clips less than 5% of what is
there.  She looks for things that we will buy anyhow, and only
occasionally will clip coupons for something new.

Perhaps so -- all of the stores will double coupons up to $0.50, many
stores will double coupons that are less than $1.00.
Doubling of $1.00 (or more) coupons is only done as a special promotion.

Very much so.  By using coupons and shopping for things on sale, the
grocery tab usually reports "savings" of 33% to 50%.  That is really a
bogus number though since there are many things that we never buy at
full price, but wait for a sale and then stock up.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Rouladen Of Beef
 Categories: German, Beef, Main dish
      Yield: 1 servings
 
  1 1/2 lb Lean boneless round steak,
      6    Pieces
           -Salt and freshly ground
           -black pepper (to taste)
    1/4 c  Dijon mustard (PLUS 2 TBL)
      6 sl Cooked bacon, drained and
           -crumbled
    1/2 c  Onion, chopped
      1 c  Carrots, chopped
      6    Dill pickle spears,
      5    -inches long
      2 tb Vegetable oil
 
  Preheat broiler.  Pound each piece of meat to 6-inch diameter (about
  1/8-inch thick).  Sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Broil for 1 minute
  each side on rack in pan 4 inches from heat.  Spread each piece of
  meat with 1 tablespoon of mustard.  Sprinkle evenly with crumbled
  bacon then top with equal amounts of carrot and onion.  Add 1 pickle
  spear and roll up; secure with toothpick.  Heat oil in medium
  non-stick skillet over medium heat.  Brown meat rolls on each side.
  Add about 1 inch of water to the pan.  Cover and simmer for 1 hour or
  until the meat is tender.  Remove the toothpicks before serving.  Pass
  sauce seperately.
  
  Makes 6 servings.
