We have those things too. Maple syrup is one of them, usually NY state
but sometimes VT.

It's a guy thing; what can I say?

Lots of good flavor that way, and some meat. Tho we do go vegetarian
from time to time but not longer than a week or so at a stretch.

Now that Steve is eating the sprouts, I don't buy the frozen ones any
more. I'd used to buy them if he was going TDY or in the field. Now I
buy fresh, roast them and drizzle them with balsamic vinegar. They're
good done that way, much better than the frozen, cooked in lots of water
(the way my mom did it) or nuked (the way I did them) , with just butter
and salt.
