The rough thing about the temperatures whip-sawing about is that the 
snow melt runs onto the pavement during the day. Then the sun goes down 
and the heat goes down and all that snow melt water turns to a sheet of 
ice that is slicker than snot on a doorknob.

Depends on the chain. Papa John's is OK. Dominoes sucks rocks. Papa 
Murphy's Take & Bake is pretty good. Pizza Hut bites bitter carrots. And 
so it goes. One of our better Italian places and pizza joints is neither 
Italian nor Greek - rather it's owned by an Anglo-Irish couple and the 
name (Sheppard) is Italianised to "Sheppardo's Ristorante".

The only Greek/Macedonian/Albanian bunch in this area have the truck 
stop restaurant - and there is always spanakopita on the specials board. 
And from time to time the owner makes moussaka - which I am always down 
for. But, other than 'Greek-style' pork chops that's about it. Seems 
that the Great American Outback is a swamp of "that's not what my mommy 
made" palates.  FEH!!!

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Greek-Style Pizza
 Categories: Pizza, Potatoes, Beef, Greens, Cheese
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      2 c  Packaged refrigerated diced
           - potatoes with onion
      1 tb Olive oil
      4    Flat bread (naan) or pita
           - rounds
           Olive oil
      4 oz Crumbled feta cheese
           - w/garlic & herb
      2 c  Packaged fresh spinach
     12 oz Thin sliced deli roast beef
           Sliced baby sweet peppers
           - (opt)
           Crushed red pepper (opt)
 
  In large skillet cook potatoes in 1 Tbsp. oil over medium
  heat for 5 minutes or until tender; set aside.
  
  Meanwhile, heat broiler. Place flat bread on extra-large
  baking sheet; lightly brush bread with oil. Top with half
  the cheese. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 2 to 3 minutes
  or until cheese begins to melt. Top barely melted cheese
  with spinach, roast beef, potatoes, and remaining cheese.
  
  Broil 3 to 5 minutes or until heated through. Drizzle with
  additional olive oil, then top with pepper slices and
  crushed red pepper.
  
  Makes 4 servings.
