It seemed banal, I think; whether the screenwriters
put a little inside tip in or not I don't know.

If you bear in mind "crazy old lady," then she's quite
identifiable. As for me, I did find a group shot with me
in it when I looked just now.

Maybe not. It's a very busy and quite expensive venue,
which means that the tips are likely quite lucrative.

That would be a nice thing. I am taking the $60 a month
(that's the CO-PAY) thing that is a long oblong scored
thing as if to encourage such behavior.

You bet. Not to mention endangering the patients at the
same time.

I haven't gone there yet. I've done some practicing on
stairs and trying to read braille with my eyes closed
(though my vision is quite crummy, I do get a lot of
visual cues, perhaps more than the people do who have
good eyesight, because they can just take things in and
not have to do any processing.

Duck casserole
cat: wine, poultry, main
servings: 2 or 3

3 fresh duck legs
1 c good red wine
1 diced onion
1 diced carrot
2 cloves garlic
2 sprigs thyme
1 bay leaf
a few pieces of orange zest
salt and freshly ground pepper
a little oil
500 g baby carrots
2 Tb chopped parsley

Place the duck legs in a bowl with the wine, onion, carrot,
garlic, thyme, bay leaf and orange zest. Cover with plastic
wrap and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 160C/325F.

Remove duck from marinade and pat dry on a paper towel.
Season with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a cast-iron pan
and brown duck on all sides.

Drain vegetables and herbs from the marinade, add to the
pan and stir for a few minutes. Add wine, stir and bring
to a low simmer. Cover with a lid and bake for 1 1/2 hr.

Peel baby carrots and steam for a couple of minutes. When
the duck is almost cooked, remove duck pieces from pan
and strain the sauce. Discard herbs and pieces of
vegetables. Return duck to the pan and add the sauce and
carrots. Cover pan and return to the oven for 15 min.

Serve duck pieces on plates and top with baby carrots.
Spoon the glorious sauce over the top and serve sprinkled
with chopped parsley.
