Don't know if he's the rock or hard place but either way, he's not
budging on a lot of things. He'll eat my varients on familiar cooking
but I try not to go too far out of the realm of familiar with him. Just
far enough that Steve and I are happy that it's similar to what I make
at home, just different enough that Dad has a slightly new taste.

Yes, and a lot of times now I tend to be a bit more cautious. One
hospital acquired infection was not fun dealing with; I don't want to do
it again.

Steve's class eunions are usually in the summer--but we just can't quite
time the trips around other things that we have to be there for, and
still make the reunion. Same as the last couple of picnics--we'd planned
to attend, then family scheduled things the same week end so........  we
know what got priority.

Nice to catch up, even if it's hit or miss for a bit. I probably should
try to do some look up on people I'm interested in finding out about but
not getting caught up on F'book.
