My grandmother's memory regressed interestingly...  she kept thinking
she was younger and younger, and while she would remember us as somehow
connected with herself, she'd not be able to reconcile the disparity of
ages...  So I became first "the age of her son" (my father), and then
"probably a cousin", and then, from what I could tell, her mother... as
I aged all of about 10 years...  That last time, she wasn't talking any
more, but had apparently regressed to babyhood... She died soon after...
at an actual age of 97, but perhaps she'd regressed past the point of
conception, so no reason to stick around anymore...  When her 2 youngest
sisters came to live in the same nursing home, she (inadvertantly) hurt
them badly, by referring to them as her "old lady friends from Norfolk",
which is where the 8 girls all grew up, she the oldest of them...  :)

I was given a small pair of Fiskars a long time ago... they've been used
for years for just about everything... mostly, lately, in the kitchen...
haven't seemed to lose their edge in all those years, and with all the
abuse... paper, plastic, and once in a while, cloth or thread... ;)
