OTOH - marketroids often create their markets. Look at the rise of "light"
beer. What a bunch of malarkey. I probably would not last long in the saloon
business. I'd have no televisions. (wanna watch TV I'll sell you a 12 pack to
take home where the TV is - on your way out the door) I'd have no "light" beer.
(Want a beer, order what's in stock. Want to piss a lot - there's a water
fountain back by the rest rooms.) And I'd probably have a juke box and NO -
NONE - ABSOLUTELY NOT ANY video gaming machines.

So, I went to Der Bingle and checked. And turns out that Lehrer did indeed work
for the NSA whilst in the Army (attached to a Naval Installation). He described
himself as a "corporal without portfolio" and invented the Jello shots as a
means of circumventing the "no alcohol on base" restrictions to provide
merriment at the annual Xmas party.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Homemade Vegan Ketchup
 Categories: Sauces, Condiments, Vegetables, Herbs, Chilies
      Yield: 1 recipe

      1 lg Green apple
      1 kg Tomatoes
      1 dl White wine vinegar
      1 lg Yellow onion
      4 cl Garlic
    250 g  Brown sugar
      2 ts Cinnamon
      2 ts Mustard seeds
      2 ts Chile flakes
      1 tb Vegetable stock powder
      2 tb Soy sauce
           Salt

  Parboil the tomatoes until the skin cracks. Put them
  immediately in cold water and peel off the skin. Chop up
  the tomatoes and put them in a big bowl. Slice the
  onion and the garlic and fry in a big pan until soft
  and golden. Add the tomatoes and heat. 

  Gut the apple and slice it finely and add it to the pan
  with the vinegar. Stir in the sugar bit by bit. Ground the
  mustard seeds in a mortar and add them to the pan together
  with the other herbs, spices, stock and soy. Let the
  contents simmer for around 30-40 minutes (or longer,
  depending on how juicy your tomatoes were and how thick
  you want your sauce).

  Blend the sauce with a mixer or a stick blender. Season
  with salt and pepper to your preference. 

  I prefer a ketchup that isn’t completely smooth, but if
  you prefer your ketchup without any lumps, put it through
  a sieve before pouring it into the bottles. If unopened,
  the bottles can be kept in normal temperature. If opened,
  keep in the fridge. Enjoy!
