None of the ones that we regularly shop at are on your list, although
there is one of them in the area.   Our primary stores, in order the
business they get from us, are BJs, Safeway, Giant and Wegmans

Used to be in this area, but have closed up all the stores we know
about.  I think that they had some decent things, but were a bit out of
our normal driving range.

There is one not too far away and we might stop there for sales or
special items.  They got a very bad reputaion a number of years ago as
the result of an undercover TV show that filmed a number of bad
practices in some of their southern stores.

There is one of these in Laurel, a half hour drive away -- but I don't
think we've been there in more than a decade.

Most A&P stores changed their name to Super Fresh years ago.  The only
one within moderate driving distance closed down a couple of years ago
and morphed into a Shopper's Food Warehouse.

None of these in the area.  Both Walmart and Target in this area have
limited food items but neither would be considered a full service
grocery store.

      Title: CAJUN CORN SOUP
 Categories: Cajun, Soups
      Yield: 12 Servings
 
      1 c  Chopped onion
      1 c  Chopped green pepper
      6    Green onions, sliced
    1/2 c  Cooking oil
    1/2 c  All-purpose flour
      3 c  Water
      1 cn Cajun-style stewed tomatoes
           -14 1/2 ounces
      2 c  Chopped peeled tomatoes
      1 cn Tomato paste (6-oz.)
      2 pk Frozen whole kernal corn
           -(16 oz. each)
      3 c  Cubed cooked ham
  1 1/2 lb Fully cooked smoked sausage
           -sliced
    1/8 ts Cayenne pepper or to taste
           Salt to taste
           Hot pepper sauce to taste
 
  In a large kettle or Dutch oven, saute onion, green pepper and green
  onions in oil until tender, about 5 minutes. Add flour and cook until
  bubbly. Add water, stewed tomatoes and chopped tomatoes and tomato
  paste; mix well. Stir in the corn, ham, sausage, cayenne pepper, salt
  and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce
  heat; simmer, uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
