Not incompatible information. 3 percent of one serving of
heavy cream isn't going to be a significant amount.

Jupiter has a bowel problem that is treated with oral
medication. During the time that Annie was out of town,
Kathy the housekeeper/friend did the pill duty, even
when I was there (I'm very leery of the job), and when
I asked her to demonstrate, saying (truthfully) that I
couldn't get it right, she smugly tossed the medication
in, clamped the mouth shut, and Jupiter immediately
bounded down ... and tossed the pill right up. H'm.
Perhaps it's no wonder that he was leaving gifts on the
rug left and right.

I don't think the ice cream has much real durian unless
you add it. There's a durian extract you can get at the
Asian grocery (many years ago Hap was inordinately pleased
to show me that the Vietnamese market in Tacoma had such
exotics as durian extract and was slightly chagrined and
perhaps incredulous that I said I could get it all sorts
of places out east - one of the myths about this country
is that it gets more Asian as it gets more Pacific), and
I'm betting that's what drian ice cream is usually made
with.

Strawberries with yogurt
Categories: Italian, dessert
Serves 5

1 lb large strawberries, washed
1 egg white
2 1/2 Tb sugar
1/2 c plain yogurt
1/2 c whipped cream
Mint leaves for garnish

Beat the egg white. Dissolve sugar in a bit of water
and heat to boiling. Trickle sugar solution into egg
white and continue beating until cold. Mix egg white
mixture with yogurt and whipped cream. Slice each
strawberry into four pieces. Mix strawberries with
yogurt sauce. Spoon into dessert bowls.

Garnish with mint leaves.
