Yes, a grocery store.

The PX (Army), BX (Air Force) or NEX (Navy) is more of a department
store. They sell name brands but also have their own lines of clothes,
goods like vitamins, toiletries, etc.

Depends on the installation too; some have big stores, others are small.
Some posts (or bases) have a big PX in a central location plus several
shopettes scattered around housing areas, barracks, etc. Same as some
could have multiple commissaries.

Kids don't get an ID until they turn 10 so if you were in the single
digits, the MPs didn't know if you were a military kid or not.

It's not on this computer. Anyway, IIRC, it was Washeze or something
like that.

We never had to spend that much on housing but did have our lean times.
That's when I learned how to do a lot of meatless meals and stretching
bits of meat into things like stir fry.

I used to have Calphalon for most of my cookware, still have a couple of
pots. Went with stainless steel (T-Fal) a couple of years ago because I
wanted some non reactive stuff. I'd originally thought of just getting a
couple of pots but we ended up replacing just about everything. Since
they didn't have anything bigger than a 5 quart pot, I kept my 6 and 8
quart Calphalon ones. I like it a lot better than my mom's Revereware.

Just have to work with what's available at the time for some things. I'd
rather buy the Whole Foods 365 line of some things bu since we can't get
down there right now, I get whatever I can at Lowe's or elsewhere.

Oddly so, it seems. Steve was able to call yesterday, got an appointment
for today, for a visual screening he needed. He has a road test Friday,
then we'll see how long it takes NC-DMV to act on restoring his driving
priviledges.
