The one that intruded into my memory was at WRAMC, which was a
major operation at the time, but I remember the shopping as
distinctly underwhelming. I was between 6 and 10 and have no
idea why I was carpooling, the destination, or the other
people involved. All I recall is there was a mom not my own
and some other kids.

  Some posts (or bases) have a big PX in a central location plus

It might have just been a "shopette," but it was a special
trip from off base, so I imagine it was all there was.

In those days who knows what the ID requirements were,
though it's dollars to doughnuts (close to par these days
I'm told) that they were more lax. But, as I said, I was
a little literalist.

There are similar applications for every budget, including
yours, or you could just install Notepad, which is primitive
enough that it probably works on everything.

On Pinterest (something I don't use) there is
"WashEZE - laundry for procrastinators," which seems to
be marketing itself to a younger and lazier crowd than I
figure you are part of.

I was spending a ton of money on lodging, enough so that it and
health insurance gobbled up most of the available dollars. How
I came to travel so much? Several successive inheritances,
smallish ones.

     Title: Sicilian Fish Sauce for Pasta
Categories: Pasta, Fish, Ethnic
     Yield: 4 Servings

      4    Scallions chopped fine
      1 tb Minced garlic
      1 tb Olive oil
      1 c  Peeled fresh tomatoes chop
      8    Fresh basil leaves sliced
           Salt, pepper; dash of hot
           Sauce is optional
      3    Tilapia fillets; cubed or
           Any firm sweet non oily fish
    1/2 lb Spaghetti cooked
           Parmesan cheese

Saute chopped scallion and garlic in olive oil until translucent. Add
tomatoes, basil and salt and pepper to taste and let cook for about 5
min until tomatoes resolve into a sauce. Add fish cubes and simmer
on low until fish is tender. Place cooked pasta with fish sauce in a
large serving bowl and serve with the cheese, crusty bread and a salad.
