Reminds me of my friend Silvia, who doesn't get lobster
very frequently, as she lives in central Italy fifty
miles from salt water and maybe a thousand miles from
relevant salt water. When she visits the US, she eats
as many bugs as she can, and when she's done with one,
there is nothing left but shell, like nothing. Meat,
fat, gills, all gone. I'm not sure she even removes
the digestive tract.

I envision: a bare sufficiency of lobsters, which will
be eaten however the participants wish; afterward, we
use the shells and grotty bits to make a stock (if the
Shipps allow this - to me the smell of lobster is more
objectionable than that of durian), and if there's any
meat left, we'll make newburg or thermidor - there's
not a big difference -, and if not, we'll make bisque.

Note to the Shipps: is there sherry in the house?

Note to self: have to make a small batch without sherry.

Nobody has any business demanding anything, but there
is nothing etiquettically dubious about suggesting.

My friend Pad and I used to talk about how fast we
could drink a beer - we were bandying about numbers
in the 4 to 5 second range.

But sipping is much better for you than guzzling. You
know why people who drink quickly should be careful
around alcohol?

Because chuggers can't be boozers.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Truite Au Vin Rouge / Trout in Red Wine, From the Ardenne
 Categories: Belgian, Fish
      Yield: 4 Servings

      4    Trout
    100 g  Butter
      3    Shallots
    100 g  Mushrooms
      2 tb Flour
           Juice of one lemon
      1 tb Chopped parsley
    3/4 l  Red wine
           Salt, pepper

  (You will need a casserole big enough to hold the fish side by side
  and deep enough to take the liquid, and which can be used on top of
  the stove.)

  Melt the butter and saute the finely chopped shallots until they just
  begin to soften.  Add the sliced mushrooms.  Brown gently and add the
  flour. Mix well, and when the flour has soaked up the butter, add the
  wine. Bring slowly to the boil and simmer for 10 min.  Clean and
  wipe the trout dry.  Add to the wine, with salt and pepper, and cook
  very, very gently so that the liquid is just simmering for 15
  min. Place the trout on a warmed serving dish and reduce the
  sauce to thicken slightly. Check the seasoning.  Away from the heat,
  add the lemon juice and stir in a walnut-sized piece of butter.
  Sprinkle with parsley and serve with boiled potatoes.
