Close! They don't live in the same house, but the DIL and SIL were over at 
the parents' place doing the house cleaning this weekend.  Gotta love a man 
who knows how to use a vacuum cleaner.  Of course, it is a gadget with a 
motor, so it ought to be a natural.

I'd bet more on the latter.  The old stoves they're reconditioning and 
remaking are mostly pre-WWII.

Mine was built with one, so we never had the problem.
