Literal bar? As in saloon-style bar? Or, just the counter?

The Mexican venues I frequent don't have a "bar" as such. They do offer beer,
wine and cocktails but don't have seating near the mixologist. At Los Agaves
the drink service is from an alcove off the dining area. At Xocimilco (a
mini-chain with 5 locations) which was the first "real", authentic Mexican
place in the area - driving out the Chi-Chi's - the two locations I visit have
the bar along a wall of the dining area. But, no seating. La Fiesta ... I
dunno. Never paid a lot of attention and didn't notice.  Bv)=

Los Agaves is my favourite as they feature a lot of pork dishes. The other guys
seem to dislike pork as much as a Hasidic Jew - featuring beef and chicken in
their meat dishes. But, Agaves has an "Agave Burrito" which is pork, steamed in
beer, pico de gallo, beans and rice ... $6 and very filling.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Salsa Chowder
 Categories: Soups, Vegetables, Chilies, Salsa
      Yield: 2 Servings

    1/2 c  Chopped onion
    1/2 c  Chopped red bell pepper
      4 oz Can chopped green chilies
      2 ts Butter
      1 c  Whole-kernel corn
      1 c  Chicken broth
    1/2 c  Chunky salsa

  In a 1 quart microwavable casserole combine onion, bell
  pepper, chilies and butter; cover and microwave on HIGH
  until onion is translucent, about 2 minutes. 

  Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine; microwave
  on Medium (50%) for 4 minutes; stirring every 2 minutes,
  until mixture is thoroughly heated.

  Quick and (nearly) vegetarian
