I don't drink it, try not to cook with it if I can use a sub but have
eaten a good number of dishes containing it, albeit in smallish
quantities.

Yes, it is TGIF, and never to be patronised by us again unless there's
no other or better choice. Our intial complaint about the one place was
that the music (?) was so loud that we couldn't hear each other across
the table. They turned it down, on our request, by a token amount.

Probably cook's choice of seasonings would work as well, as long as the
cook had a sense of what to combine.
