   What I remember about folks saying went on at the American Legion
hall and the Knights of Columbous hall was that generally the only thing
the building seemed to be used for was bickering and drinking beer!  An
employee at the store I worked at used to stock up on lots of beer
before going over there.  I heard they had their own liquor supply and
beer taps... My boss said "Yeah, but it's too expensive so she buys her
beer at the convince store and brings it over there!" referring to the
employee....  Amazing how the members talk about all the fussing and
fighting but they put up with it because to them it's like a cheap
bar....

   I can see myself making some interesting bread loaves... But not
enough to justify buying a bread maker....  And I'm not a baker, though
my wife likes to bake.... She likes wheat bread because it's softer and
generally fresher... Making our own bread would make it 'fresh' when we
want it, and you could make eg. like that jalapino bread, where you have
pices of jalapino's mixed into the bread...  Or you could take various
types of meat and mix it into the bread...  I'd be tempted to mix some
of that sweet salad dressing or something similiar into the bread mix to
see if you could make a sorta sweet tasting bread.... Or add in a bunch
of cinamin, then when the bread's done, toast it and see if it is better
than toasting it and putting the cinamin on last... (Better yet, put it
in both, before you make the bread and after!)  Not sure how it'd work,
but might be interesting to take eg. an apple and dice it up , then put
the apple into the bread mix... Then you would have a bread with baked
apple pices blended into the bread so every bight of bread had nice warm
baked apples!  Toast, and add peanut butter and apple jelly, and butter!
