Daddy did quite a bit over the years, until his Parkinsons made that
more problematic, and Mommy took over pretty much completely... when
they moved in with Lydia, she got the job... ;)

When we were in the Philly area, they often hired seminary wives, partly
for Mommy's sake, partly to help out the struggling seminary couples...

That sounds more memorable than whatever happened to be my first
encounter with cooking... ;)

Mine was a present, too... but I don't remember when... It's still with
me, with the rest of my cookbooks...  :)

You can take some advantage of it just for current meals...  :)

No, but it is now officially on the list... along with passing along
your appreciation...  ;)
